Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished leader to assume the role of Director overseeing the delivery of transportation engineering projects and contributing to a dynamic team responsible for designing and implementing road infrastructure, public transport, rail, greenways, and active travel initiatives in Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Oversight: Direct the development of client relationships, identify commercial opportunities, and formulate strategies to capitalize on them.
  • Act as Project Director and Manager, ensuring seamless project execution while monitoring financial performance.
  • Verify that technical content and quality align with project requirements.
  • Team Enhancement: Foster a culture of continuous learning, keeping team members up-to-date with best practices, innovations, and techniques.
  • Support career growth of direct reports, provide guidance on professional development, and assist with recruitment efforts.
  • Assume senior management responsibilities within the Transportation team and deputize for key directors as needed.
Requirements:
  • A successful track record in managing complex civil engineering and/or transport engineering projects, driving them from conception to completion.
  • Familiarity with design standards applicable to roads and active travel in the UK and Ireland.
  • Working knowledge of contract forms used in the island of Ireland.
  • Strong commercial acumen in managing project opportunities and risks.
  • Possession of relevant degree and Chartered status with membership of a professional institution (or ability to achieve if relocating).
