Data Information Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a global IT organization as a Data Information Specialist.

The successful candidate will be responsible for formulating a data management strategy based on business and regulatory requirements.

You will define and implement policies for the lifecycle management of information, including retention, archiving, and disposal.

  • Understand data management requirements from various departments and across multiple domains.
  • Design data retention, archiving, and purging strategy for existing and newly created information.
  • Design data recovery and backup strategy to be applied to any existing and newly created information.
  • Define the technical implementation roadmap and implement policies and procedures for data retention, disposal, and archiving.
  • Develop and maintain a retention schedule for different types of information.
  • Monitor data management policies and procedures to ensure they are being followed.
  • Perform data analysis to identify potential data management issues and recommend solutions.
  • Stay up to date with changing legal and regulatory requirements related to data management.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement and maintain data management policies and procedures.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive hands-on experience in a similar role.
  • Significant experience in Software Development and Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations related to data management.
  • Ability to perform needs elicitation.
  • Hands-on implementation experience of complex data management projects.
