Digital Repository Systems Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our technical team at the Digital Repository of Ireland. This is a fixed-term contract for three years, with the opportunity to make a significant impact on our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain automated deployment scripts to ensure seamless system upgrades and backups.
- Perform operating system and website security updates to protect our digital assets.
- Maintain backup infrastructure, including testing backups to guarantee data integrity.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues with the repository infrastructure in a timely and efficient manner.
- Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance to optimize our operations.
- Contribute to bug fixing, documentation, software maintenance, and other development activities as directed by the team.
- Participate in staff and project meetings, cross-functional task forces, and other activities as required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Linux-oriented software engineering, experience with automated deployment scripts, and knowledge of operating system and website security.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, and relevant work experience in system administration.
