The Renewable Operations Centre remotely monitors and controls our renewable generation portfolio, which includes onshore wind, battery energy storage systems, solar, synchronous condensers, and flexible gas plant. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving excellent performance and capability of the 24/7 Renewable Operations Centre, transforming ROC tools and processes to deliver remote operation excellence for our expanding portfolio.

This role requires strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams across Generation and Trading. You will also engage with stakeholders, including management of 24/7 OEM support facilities and the National Control Centre as required.

Key responsibilities include delivering excellent safety and operational performance, managing alarms and events, identifying and adopting leading remote operation tools, and ensuring compliance with safety processes such as WTSR (Wind Turbine Safety Rules), ERP (Emergency Response Procedures), and BCP (Business Continuity Plans).

We are seeking an experienced leader with a proven track record in delivering key responsibilities, possessing strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management skills, and knowledge of operational and safety requirements. The successful candidate will have experience in operational and maintenance requirements of various generating technologies, with a relevant 3rd-level qualification or equivalent work experience.
