Senior Vehicle Technician

As a Senior Vehicle Technician at Colton Motors Group, you will play a key role in ensuring that every vehicle that leaves our workshop is repaired to the highest standards. Our team of experienced technicians work together to provide a first-class service to our customers.

We are a state-of-the-art facility with a reputation for excellence. Our technicians use the latest technology and equipment to diagnose and repair a range of Ford and Seat vehicles.
Your Role:
You will be responsible for carrying out diagnosis, repairs and servicing to the highest standards, and to the appropriate specification. You will also be required to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction, ensuring that every customer leaves our workshop feeling valued and satisfied.
Key Responsibilities:
- To diagnose and repair faults on Ford and Seat vehicles, using diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach.
- To meet with customers to identify and clearly understand problems, and to ensure that each customer receives excellent customer service.
- To stay up-to-date with the latest technology introduced on the vehicle range, and to use this knowledge to diagnose and repair faults.
- To ensure that all work is carried out observing safe working practices, both for yourself and others.
- To liaise with colleagues and supervisors in situations that are over and above work specified.
- To check the level and quality of work through the use of diagnostic equipment and road-testing vehicles after work has been carried out.
- To liaise with the Service Manager/Advisor.
- To complete relevant service documentation (Job sheets, PDIs, service reports) in line with HSO, warranty and Brand/Dealer requirements.
- To ensure that workshop housekeeping standards are maintained at all times, including the use of special and personal tools.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced technician who is familiar with Ford and Seat brands, and who has the ability to complete work in a timely manner with strong attention to detail. You should have good communication skills, and be able to work as part of a team. Computer literacy, familiarity with Kerridge/CDK is preferable. A full driving licence with zero penalty points is also essential.
