Software Architectural Expert

  • This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of our software platform, working with modern cloud technologies like Docker and Serverless to create innovative solutions.
  • Our team is focused on building client and patient journeys from enquiry to consultation and care management, requiring strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and grow.
  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional in object-oriented software design, primarily Java, with expertise in designing distributed services communicating in a fault-tolerant manner using RESTful and message-driven APIs.
  • Proficiency with or willingness to learn TypeScript/JavaScript for implementing GraphQL APIs and schema design is essential for this role.
  • As a Software Architectural Expert, you will collaborate with product designers and owners to turn high-level requirements into user stories and shippable features, maintaining high coding standards and excellent attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recommend and implement new software component designs or enhancements, ensuring maintainability, reuse, clean code, unit testing, and driving standards within the team.
  • Coach and support teammates through code reviews and white boarding sessions, fostering a supportive environment that values continuous improvement and learning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar field.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience with object-oriented software design, primarily Java.
  • Experience designing distributed services communicating in a fault-tolerant manner using RESTful and message-driven APIs.
