Key Responsibilities for a Theatre Nurse

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Theatre nurse to deliver high-quality nursing care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting best practice, supporting patient safety and quality initiatives, and developing strategies to improve theatre practices.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Communicating effectively to foster an open culture within the team
  • Supporting colleagues in achieving specific Critical Success Factors
  • Developing and implementing improvements to theatre processes

Requirements include:

  • Registration with the relevant Nursing Board
  • A commitment to patient safety and quality
  • At least 2 years post-graduate acute care nursing experience in a Theatre setting
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Theatre practices and procedures
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
