The primary role of a cold room operator is to maintain the optimal storage conditions for perishable goods, ensuring they remain fresh and safe for consumption.

  • Pick items and assemble pallets for delivery to stores in an efficient manner.
  • Verify the accuracy of incoming stock and report any discrepancies to the supervisor immediately.
  • Unload goods from delivery trucks using manual handling equipment or forklifts as required.
  • Safely stack goods in designated storage areas to prevent damage and optimize space usage.
  • Prepare and manage documentation related to stock movement, including inventory reports and shipping manifests.
  • Inspect goods for damage before dispatching them to restaurants to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Report all incidents or near-misses to the supervisor promptly.

  • A team player with excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
  • A reliable and safety-conscious individual who can work effectively in a cold environment.
  • Forklift certification and experience are highly desirable but not essential.
  • Flexibility to work a standard Monday-to-Friday schedule with occasional Saturdays.
