Liability Case Resolution Specialist

The role of a Liability Claims Handler is pivotal in managing injury or liability cases. Effective handling of these cases ensures that appropriate reserves are maintained and fair settlements are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a portfolio of cases to ensure each case is reserved appropriately in line with the company's case reserving methodology.
- Proactively manage a portfolio of cases to achieve settlement, within designated personal authority level, in line with established standards, procedures and guidance provided.
- Referring claims falling outside limits of personal authority to others promptly, in line with agreed referral procedures.
- Assessing claims against relevant criteria and experience to identify actual or potential issues and involving others as appropriate to minimize leakage and protect the interests of the business.
- Managing customer interactions in an efficient, courteous and timely manner to deliver high standards of customer satisfaction.
- Organising and using approved internal and/or external suppliers to drive proactive settlement of claims.
- Helping and contributing towards the development of less experienced colleagues to raise standards and expertise across the team.
- CIP/ACII preferred or other recognised qualifications.
- 2-3 years experience in Injury & Liability Claims.
- Knowledge of local market.
- Working always within your individual claims handling license.
- Customer service experience in financial services industry.
- Excellent communications skills.
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
