Heritage Consultant Role Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Heritage Consultant to lead our cultural heritage and archaeology team in the southern half of the country. This is an exciting opportunity to manage and deliver archaeology projects, develop commercial strategies, and work closely with clients and stakeholders.

Job Description:
  • Project Management
    • Lead fieldwork projects from planning to delivery, ensuring successful project outcomes and client satisfaction.
    • Manage archaeological fieldwork teams, including subcontractors and staff members, to ensure high-quality deliverables and adherence to company protocols.
  • Commercial Strategy
    • Develop and implement commercial strategies for archaeology projects, including tendering and bid writing.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to identify business opportunities and drive revenue growth.
  • Clients and Stakeholders
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and external partners.
    • Provide expert advice and guidance on heritage matters, ensuring effective communication and project success.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Technical Expertise
    • Robust knowledge of Ireland's archaeology and history, as well as planning processes and environmental/heritage legislation.
    • Experience in managing and delivering archaeology projects, including fieldwork and desk-based assessments.
  • Business Acumen
    • Proven ability to develop and implement commercial strategies, driving revenue growth and business development.
    • Strong understanding of health and safety protocols and risk management principles.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
    • Ability to adapt communication style to suit diverse audiences and project requirements.
