IT Infrastructure SpecialistWe are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in Dublin. Reporting to the IT manager, this individual will be responsible for managing the demanding IT needs of a multinational technology company.

The successful candidate will be involved in:
- Providing world-class support to the company;
- Responding to complex helpdesk queries from strong technical engineers;
- Ensuring the most cost-effective and efficient use of IT infrastructure while identifying and suggesting improvements for the organisation;
- Liaising with hardware/software vendors;
- Working closely with other IT staff and engineers;
- Ensuring all IT infrastructure and policies comply with industry standards and ISO certification requirements;
- Carrying out routine security checks and undertaking preventative measures to maintain operational security;
- Analysing and resolving faults – from major system crashes to forgotten passwords;
- Managing email, anti-spam and virus protection;
- Setting up user accounts, permissions and passwords;
- Managing and monitoring all user accounts and endpoint devices using various cloud-based tools;
- Installing, supporting and maintaining new server hardware and server infrastructure;
- Working with the Development team to maintain secure access to build environments.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Windows OS, Exchange Server and SQL Server;
- Solid technical knowledge of IT security, networking protocols (TCP/IP), software and hardware devices, firewall and VPN configuration, remote access, backups, content filtering, malware and virus protection;
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Technologies including Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Office 365, Defender, Sharepoint and Teams;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to think and work independently with minimal supervision;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Ability to prioritise work correctly and assertively, manage a range of different concurrent issues and handle user enquiries efficiently;
- Some experience of Linux systems, databases and firewalls would be a definite advantage;
- Experience working within an Azure DevOps environment, including automation experience with configuration management tools would be a definite advantage, but not essential;
- Experience working within and supporting a SAAS company would be a definite advantage, but not essential;
- Willingness to learn recent technologies, adapt to change and share knowledge with others in your team.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3-6 years' experience although exceptional candidates with less experience will be considered;
- Third-level degree or equivalent experience.
