About the Opportunity

This exciting role offers a unique chance to join a well-established Children's Disability Network Team in Northwest Dublin. You will work independently and collaboratively with the support of a well-established multidisciplinary team (MDT).

Job Purpose

As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will provide a high-quality, evidence-based service to children with primary intellectual disabilities, secondary physical disabilities, and/or sensory impairments, always involving their families, carers, and support staff in the care process.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • To assess and recommend appropriate Speech and Language Therapy programs, environmental supports, activities, skill development, and Augmentative Alternative Communication taking into account person-centred needs, staff/carer needs, environment, and available resources.
  • To take responsibility, as required and in consultation with the Service Manager and Speech and Language Therapist Manager, for the planning, development, and provision of specialist Speech and Language Therapy services within this caseload.

Requirements

  • Degree in clinical speech and language therapy.
  • Full CORU registration.
  • Hold Dysphagia training.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years work experience as a Speech and Language Therapist.
