Key Responsibilities:

  • To undertake initial mental health assessments with young people focusing on both strengths and difficulties
  • To provide evidence informed brief, therapeutic interventions to young people
  • To conduct risk assessments and implement risk management plans as appropriate
  • To participate in clinical supervision and line management for support and guidance
  • To work in accordance with Jigsaw Policies, Procedures and Guidelines
  • To maintain accurate, confidential records of practice using the Jigsaw Data System

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualifications & Registration/Accreditation – Doctorate or equivalent in Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychology and/or Chartered Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychologist through PSI
  • Mental Health Nurse registered with An Bord Altranais
  • Social Worker registered with CORU
  • Occupational Therapist registered with CORU
  • Psychotherapist accredited by the Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP) or the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP)
