Job Summary

The role of Lead Electrical Design Engineer is crucial in ensuring the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the entire lifecycle of AWS global infrastructure, from design to deployment. We are seeking a highly skilled electrical engineer with experience in designing power systems and mission critical electrical design.

The successful candidate will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. They will collaborate with people across AWS to help deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

About the Role
  • Design specifications and mark up designs drawings
  • Support on-site activities including technical submittal reviews and answering RFIs
  • Site inspections and equipment qualifications
  • Present designs to stakeholders

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering with cumulative experience in power systems and mission critical electrical design
  • Excellent understanding of European Electrical Codes and detailed understanding of LV, MV and HV electrical equipment
  • Ability to carry new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment/construction
  • Chartered Engineer with a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and experience directly related to data center or mission critical facility design
