The role of Finance Business Partner for our Biotech Operations team is a key position that requires a strategic advisor who can support the business with their tactical and operational decisions. This individual will work closely with the team to deliver financial commitments and drive growth.
The key activities of this role include:
- Business Partner/Financial Analysis
- As the first point of contact for business area financial queries, this individual will influence and support business partners to meet financial commitments.
- They will prepare financial business cases and analysis as needed to support decision-making.
- Represent finance in business area governance meetings and influence productivity initiatives to maximize cost competitiveness.
- Financial Planning and Reporting
- Owning the financial close, ensuring accurate results at monthly and quarterly closes.
- Preparing monthly account reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts and a metrics pack for the business area/site.
- Analyzing results versus plan, highlighting trends and forecasting projected future variances to support decision-making.
- Helping deliver the annual Business Plan, Strategic Plan, and quarterly forecasts with area leadership.
- Supporting product-costing processes for Biotech.
- Compliance
- Understanding and following all compliance policies, laws, and regulations.
- Maintaining high-quality work that is efficient and effective, upholding a right-first-time approach.
- Work aligning with SOX control guidelines.
Required skills and qualifications include:
- A qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/CPA/ACCA) with 2+ years of PQE in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical and analytical skills, including Microsoft Excel.
- A positive solutions-focused mindset, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to simplify complex information for non-financial personnel.
- Knowledge of US GAAP, experience with SAP, and Product Costing experience would be an advantage.
