Job Title: Paediatric Nutrition Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced paediatric nutrition specialist to join our team. The role offers the opportunity to work with children (0-18 years) with complex needs arising from disability, while collaborating closely with families and colleagues.

The successful candidate will provide specialist assessment, intervention, and advice to children and young people (0-18 years) with complex needs, including feeding, eating, drinking, and swallowing (FEDS) difficulties. This will involve developing individualised nutrition care plans in partnership with families and caregivers, supporting children with growth, development, and complex feeding difficulties, and ensuring evidence-based dietetic care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialist assessment, intervention, and advice to children and young people (0-18 years) with complex needs, including FEDS.
• Develop individualised nutrition care plans in partnership with families and caregivers.
• Support children with growth, development, and complex feeding difficulties, ensuring evidence-based dietetic care.
• Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to joint goal-setting and integrated care planning.
• Deliver education and training to families, carers, schools, and community partners.
• Provide supervision, support, and guidance to junior colleagues and students as required.
• Contribute to service development, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• BSc/MSc in Human Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent
• CORU Registration as a Dietitian (essential)
• Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, with at least 1 year working with children or young people.
• Experience in paediatric nutrition and FEDS management within a disability or healthcare setting.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and family-centred practice skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
