Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Projects Lead to join our Networks Projects Delivery team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the delivery of project work assigned in the areas of Network Projects, from 38kV to 400kV. This includes HV substation work, underground cable works, overhead line work, and other work streams as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network controllers, delivery teams, and suppliers.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Develop and implement project plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including landowners, community groups, and external partners.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel involved in project activities.
  • Continuously improve project delivery processes, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will require a minimum of 5 years of experience in substation project delivery, with a proven track record of managing complex projects and teams. You should possess a 3rd Level qualification or equivalent work experience, along with excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with ESB Networks' structure and operation is also desirable.
