We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced maintenance pipefitter to join our team. As a maintenance pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing pipework systems across various sites.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing, heating, and mechanical systems, with experience in pipe fabrication, welding, and brazing. You will also possess excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication and customer service skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Pipework Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair pipework systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  2. Routine Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct routine maintenance and emergency repairs on existing pipework systems, identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
  3. Minor Works Projects: Handle small-scale piping works such as modifications, system upgrades, and replacements.
  4. Pipe Fabrication: Measure, cut, bend, and assemble pipes from materials such as steel, copper, and plastic, using appropriate tools and techniques.
  5. Welding and Brazing: Perform welding, soldering, or brazing of pipes when required, ensuring joints are properly sealed and secure.
  6. Site Inspections: Assess job sites before work begins to identify material needs, site conditions, and potential risks.
  7. Compliance with Health & Safety: Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, including safe working practices for lifting, handling, and working with hazardous materials in line with company standards.
  8. Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on project progress and resolving any issues that may arise on-site.
  9. Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork including job sheets, risk assessments, and material requisitions.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: 3+ years of experience in pipefitting or plumbing.
  2. Skills: Strong knowledge of plumbing, heating, and mechanical systems, with experience in pipe fabrication, welding, and brazing.
  3. Qualifications: Certification in welding or other relevant qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, FETAC in pipefitting or plumbing).
  4. Attributes: High attention to detail and accuracy, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, self-motivated, and a team player.
