Role Overview

This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable or dependent young individuals in our residential children's service team.

As a Social Care Worker, you will provide nurturing care, protection, and encouragement to young individuals, working closely with a diverse array of professionals from various disciplines and external agencies to develop customized interventions.

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to the needs of each young person
  • Build strong relationships with young individuals, families, and external agencies to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records related to the residential unit and individual young people, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and health and safety regulations
  • Participate in regular team meetings, reviews, and agency meetings to share best practices and address emerging issues
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement strategies to address the specific challenges hindering young individuals from remaining in their homes

Essential Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Third level Degree in Social Care or equivalent
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in a social care environment at a professional level or equivalent
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Child Protection
  • Experience of key working, assessments, and care planning
  • Experience in providing assistance to marginalized clients or groups, particularly adolescents
  • A full clean driving license
