Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled High-Performance Database Query Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Query Execution team, you will play a critical role in defining the technical vision and direction for our distributed database system.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing high-performance query execution algorithms, data structures, and software architecture to meet the ever-increasing demands of modern applications. Your expertise will help us evolve our query system, strategically re-architecting and improving key components of our query execution engine.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a globally distributed team, collaborating closely with colleagues across different time zones. You will have the flexibility to work remotely from Ireland or one of our European hubs, such as Dublin or Barcelona.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in data management systems
  • Expertise in building production-level code with large user bases, robust design structures, and rigorous code quality
  • Degree in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent practical experience, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design/architecture
  • Experience with large code bases written in C++ or another systems programming language
  • Passion for the theory and practice of database query engines, as well as hands-on or academic experience in the database domain
