Laboratory Operations Specialist

CPL, in partnership with our Client Pfizer, is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Operations Specialist to join their team at the Newbridge site for an 11-month contingent fixed-term contract. This is an onsite-based role that requires minimal direct supervision.
Position SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking various activities pertaining to lab operations and compliance. The role involves a high level of laboratory testing, issue resolution, and continuous improvement with a focus on Right First Time (RFT).
Main Responsibilities- Routinely performs sampling and analysis, providing target training for team members.
- Writes laboratory investigations, ensuring compliant and timely event resolution, and participates in error reduction activities in the laboratory.
- Performs additional laboratory duties as required and conducts peer reviews.
- Provides an efficient customer-focused service by ensuring laboratory processes, equipment, and services are maintained in an operational (and safe) state.
- May participate in non-routine/complex projects.
- May write laboratory documentation, protocols, reports, and PRRs.
- Identifies Continuous Improvement opportunities and progresses Continuous Improvement projects.
- Ensures strict adherence to site policies/procedures, cGMP/GLP, and environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Ensures the area of responsibility is maintained in a constant state of compliance and audit readiness in line with current regulations, PQS, and business needs. All related procedures and documentation are maintained accordingly.
- Safety and housekeeping considerations.
- Executes responsibilities in line with Right First Time principles.
- Ensures resolution of and/or appropriate escalation of issues.
- Demonstrates company values and Pfizer competencies.
