About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team in TN Ireland as a Senior Process Development Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes to drive efficiency and productivity.
Job Overview
The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes that meet TE quality and production standards. You will also support Product Development in optimizing designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes to drive efficiency and productivity
- Design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes that meet TE quality and production standards
- Support Product Development in optimizing designs and piece parts for manufacturability
- Work closely with Lean and Operations teams to ensure new processes meet world-class manufacturing standards
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a Level 8 Engineering degree or equivalent qualification, along with laser welding experience. Strong mechanical background with knowledge of metal processing is highly desirable. Additionally, you should have knowledge of Six-Sigma methodology, problem-solving tools, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
