Production Management Role

Job Description:

The Production Manager plays a vital role in overseeing all molding operations, setting performance standards, analyzing workflow, and troubleshooting problems to drive business excellence.

  • Adherence to safety procedures/policies and maintaining a safe working environment is paramount.
  • Ensuring customer requirements are met and reviewed regularly.
  • Review and approval of labor management practices.
  • Understanding product quality specifications and active products.
  • Establishing and monitoring plant performance through goal setting and metrics tracking.
  • Developing and communicating plans to minimize scrap.
  • Defining, communicating, and ensuring direct reports meet their duties.
  • Review and approval of performance evaluations.
  • Investigating accident reports and ensuring compliance with PM Management activities.
  • Tracking accuracy of RM, WIP, and FG inventories.
  • Fair and consistent treatment of employees by upholding policies and procedures.
  • Implementing and upholding Quality System ISO 13485 for GMP compliance, product quality, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards ISO 14001.
  • Driving technical and operational enhancements.
  • Managing production facility performance, including resourcing, manpower, and efficiency.
  • Monitoring production data (e.g. downtime, waste, non-conformances) and implementing solutions.
  • Driving a culture of safety and innovation, ensuring the facility is audit-ready daily.
  • Liaising with cross-functional teams to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Driving Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and performance manage direct reports.
  • Proactively participate in Performance Management to deliver own and team objectives.

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to drive change.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and implement solutions.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in managing production facilities and personnel.
