Seeking a highly skilled Membership Manager to join our Digital Repository of Ireland team based at the Royal Irish Academy.
The ideal candidate will serve as the primary liaison for current and potential members, guiding new members through the application process and providing exceptional customer service.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to engage with members, monitor their needs, and report on membership development.
- Build a comprehensive membership database/customer relationship management system to track member interactions and deposits.
- Collaborate with DRI staff to identify training needs and materials, and assist with training programs.
- Chair DRI's membership taskforce, setting meetings, monitoring action items, and providing regular reports.
- Organize member events, such as Members' Forums and coffee mornings, to foster a sense of community.
- Contribute to DRI taskforces, reports, project proposals, and other duties as assigned.
Essential Criteria:
- Degree in an area relevant to digital preservation, such as humanities, social sciences, information studies, librarianship/archival studies, or data management.
- Significant experience working in higher education or cultural sectors, ideally in research or research support roles.
- Skills and expertise in digital preservation, digital repositories, archives, libraries, digital humanities, or digital social sciences.
- Evidence of skills in landscape analysis and strategic planning.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience in stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to organize events, from planning through design to delivery.
