At Pe Global, we are currently seeking a skilled Manufacturing Equipment Specialist to join our team in Sligo. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in engineering and maintenance to work in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the engineering team in pharma operations, ensuring that all safety, regulatory, and organizational requirements are met. This will involve participating in design and process project conversations to ensure reliability by design is built into new equipment prior to its arrival.

A key aspect of this role will be owning and preparing preventative and predictive maintenance procedures for new pharma equipment, as well as approving these procedures on Maximo. The ideal candidate will also have experience with completion and documentation of PMs and pDMs on manufacturing equipment, as well as owning and ensuring that commissioning spare parts are received and cataloged in Maximo.

This position requires active participation in Factory Acceptance testing, Site Acceptance Testing, and commissioning and qualification of equipment. The successful candidate will also review and approve process-related commissioning, qualification, and validation protocols for completeness and accuracy.

Apart from these responsibilities, the Manufacturing Equipment Specialist will execute protocols in a timely basis to meet project schedule requirements, review and approve process flow diagrams (PFDs), specifications, layouts, and P&ID, proactive high-performance of day-to-day preventative and demand maintenance activity to maintain manufacturing and utility equipment.

Liaising with operations, quality, and technical operations teams to ensure equipment and process performance is maximized will also be a key aspect of this role. To maintain records and documentation on relevant engineering procedures and preventative/demand maintenance will be another responsibility of the candidate.

A minimum of 3 years' experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment is required for this role, along with relevant trade or engineering qualifications to Cert level at a minimum. Proven problem-solving ability on complex equipment and instrumentation/PLC troubleshooting ability are essential skills for this position.
