Unlock your creativity as a 2D Head Animator where you will be responsible for crafting high-quality animations that meet the highest standards of production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Animation Directors and Rigging Leads to test rigs, develop stock animation, and master controllers.
  • Develop bespoke and higher-end animations that showcase your skills and expertise.
  • Participate in creative, production, and management meetings as required.
  • Contribute to planning and standardizing animation throughout productions.
Day-to-Day Tasks:
  • Review animatics provided by the Production Team before starting scenes.
  • Verify episodic materials are available before beginning assignments.
  • Maintain accurate daily planners and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Analyze briefs from Animation Directors/Team Leads and clarify questions or concerns.
  • Communicate problems early with Animation Directors/Team Leads.
  • Create rough plans for approaching scenes, considering show-level and style requirements.
  • Utilize libraries, reuse, special poses, expression sheets, and reference materials to inform scene development.
  • Rough out key frames to establish baseline ideas.
  • Key out characters, ensuring good silhouettes and lines of action.
  • Evaluate animation for timing, quality control, model, and technical issues.
  • Adhere to guidelines issued by the Pipeline team regarding workflow.
Requirements:
  • Strong foundation in 2D animation principles.
  • Thorough understanding of rigging processes and master controllers.
  • Excellent drawing, animation, and observation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility, willingness to learn, and self-motivation.
  • Ability to work within weekly quotas and production schedules.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
