Job Description

As a Social Care Leader, your primary focus will be on establishing strong relationships with the young people, promoting their overall development and well-being. You will also be involved in household activities, administration, teamwork, professional development, and health and safety initiatives.

In this dynamic role, you will work closely with a dedicated team of Social Care professionals to provide comprehensive, trauma-informed care services. Your expertise and passion for supporting vulnerable young people will make a significant difference in their lives.

Responsibilities
  1. Leading by example, promoting a culture of excellence and empathy within the team
  2. Developing and implementing strategies to enhance the quality of care services
  3. Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of care programmes
  4. Maintaining accurate records and reporting as required
  5. Participating in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices
Qualifications and Experience
  • A valid full, manual Irish driving license
  • A minimum of 6 months' experience in Social Care (placement experience accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with young people in a residential setting
  • Registration in the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board maintained by CORU
  • A CORU-approved Social Care Worker qualification and proof of application for registration
  • The necessary skills and abilities to excel in this challenging yet rewarding role
