Job Summary

The Data Assistant Operational supports Air Traffic Controller Officers in providing a safe and efficient Air Traffic Service in Dublin operations.

This role involves working closely with Air traffic controllers in both the Dublin tower and the Dublin radar centre.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Flight Data Position Operations:
  • Exchange of flight data with neighbouring ATS units
  • Monitor operating systems for Flight Plan errors
  • Monitor the main switchboard for the ATC
  • Coordinate with the airport authority as appropriate
  • Comply with relevant ATS procedures and Letters of agreement
  • Deal with AFTN messages
  • Promulgate relevant information for the provision of service
  • Create flight plans as required
Support to Air Traffic Control StaffPerform data assistant training duties as requiredProcess flight plans and associated flight safety messagesProcess routine requests from other services/agenciesAmend and maintain ANS documentationMaintain familiarity with relevant technology and regulationsCarry out administrative duties as required
