Life Insurance Underwriting Specialist

We seek an Underwriting Consultant to join our team in delivering exceptional customer experiences.

The Underwriting Consultant will be responsible for accurately assessing medical and financial risk, protecting the mortality results of the organization while supporting sales efforts. Key responsibilities include underwriting complex formal applications, analyzing information, managing change, defusing conflict, negotiating positive results, and demonstrating superior technical underwriting knowledge and skills.

Key qualities of the ideal candidate include a customer-centric attitude, excellent communication skills, accountability, and ability to manage a large caseload. Experience with brokerage distribution marketplace, 5+ years of life underwriting experience, required approval authority up to $10,000,000, and FLMI, FALU, or CLU designations are preferred.

• Experience with brokerage distribution marketplace
• 5+ years of life underwriting experience with demonstrated competence and experience handling larger face amount cases
• Required Approval authority up to $10,000,000
• FLMI, FALU and/or CLU designations preferred or progress toward these designations
