About the Role
Syneos Health, Inc. is looking for a highly skilled Principal Biostatistician to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a statistical department resource, mentoring biostatisticians on job skills and overseeing training plans or materials for Biostatistics associates. You will direct the activities of other biostatistics personnel on assigned projects, ensuring timely completion of high-quality work.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in clinical trials or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You will possess proficiency in programming, ability to apply extensive knowledge of statistical design, analysis, relevant regulatory guidelines, and programming techniques utilized in clinical research. Additionally, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs)
- Collaborate with sponsors, if required
- Provide independent review of project work produced by other biostatisticians in the department
- Conduct and participate in verification and quality control of project deliverables
- Implement company objectives and create alternative solutions to address business and operational challenges
- Interface with other departmental project team representatives
- Monitor progress on study activities against agreed-upon milestones
- Identify out-of-scope tasks and escalate to management
- Provide statistical programming support as needed
- Participate in Data Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) and/or Data Monitoring Committee (DMC) activities

Requirements
- RSHINY experience is required
- Graduate degree in biostatistics or related discipline
- Extensive experience in clinical trials or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in programming
- Ability to apply extensive knowledge of statistical design, analysis, relevant regulatory guidelines, and programming techniques utilized in clinical research
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
