Job Description:

The successful candidate will support the design, implementation, maintenance, and review of EHS programs to ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate and industry requirements. This includes overseeing industrial hygiene programs, developing annual occupational hygiene monitoring plans, and working with consultants to complete monitoring activities.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working to ISO14001 and ISO45001 international standards, preferably within a MedTech or related environment. A relevant third-level qualification in Science, Engineering or EHS, with at least 5 years' experience in the environment, health, and safety area, ideally in the MedTech or Pharma industry, is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee industrial hygiene programs and act as site SME.
  • Develop annual occupational hygiene monitoring plans.
  • Work with consultants to complete occupational hygiene monitoring and coordinate other related activities.
  • Maintain the REACH Register for the site and work with stakeholders to ensure timely registration of new chemicals.
  • Provide weekly metrics reports for the site and ensure on-time submission of monthly reports to Corporate EHS.
  • Support the preparation of presentations for EHS management reviews.
  • Provide and develop chemical awareness, manual handling, and EHS induction training and other safety training as required.
  • Act as site SME for J&J EHS Software System and provide training to users.
  • Perform periodic walkdowns/audits/program reviews to ensure compliance with safety and environmental permits, plans, policies, and regulatory requirements.
