Job Role

  • As a Senior Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting Irish tax returns, including VAT and corporation tax filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • You will conduct comprehensive tax research and analysis to identify areas of improvement and optimize our tax strategy, working closely with our finance team.
  • Your excellent communication skills will be essential in liaising with external tax advisors and tax authorities, resolving any queries or disputes that may arise.
  • In addition to your technical expertise, you will provide support to the finance team in the preparation of tax-related financial statements, ensuring accurate and timely information.
  • You will also develop and maintain tax compliance policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and effective, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify tax-related risks and opportunities associated with business operations.
  • Finally, you will undertake special projects as required, utilizing your expertise to drive positive outcomes and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of tax accounting, audit processes, and tax legislation, with a focus on Irish tax law.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing intricate tax returns for corporations, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Meticulous organization skills and ability to deliver on tight timelines, while maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively within a multicultural team, with patience and understanding.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment, with a willingness to adapt and evolve.
  • Prior experience from a Big-4 accounting firm is preferred, but not essential.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Over one year of experience in Irish tax, preferably with a public accounting firm and/or multinational corporation.
  • ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified, with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
