Job Title: Quantity Surveyor - Estimator Electrical

Our client is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and interpreting project contract documentation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Planning and examining supplier and sub-contractor enquiries.
  • Providing precise, competitive and cost-effective valuations in a timely manner.
  • Preparing and distributing contract documents to our supply chain.
  • Examining changes in scope of work and completing pricing variations.
  • Preparing and agreeing monthly progress claims.
  • Maintaining accurate records of claims prepared, certificates issued and retentions involved.
  • Commercial and contractual control of sub-contractor accounts.
  • Preparing and delivering monthly commercial project reports.
  • Providing information and analysis of issues & risks as required by Management.
  • Managing and forecasting project cash flow.

Requirements:

  • Hold a relevant qualification in QS, Electrical Engineering, Construction or equivalent.
  • 3+ years' electrical experience in a QS / estimator role.
  • A comprehensive understanding of work contracts.
  • Able to negotiate with clients on a professional level.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft package inclusive of Excel, Teams and Projects.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A working knowledge of Electrical Tenders would be an advantage.
