Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Bespoke Furniture Design Director to lead our dedicated team driving exceptional project success.

In this senior role, you will oversee the entire design process from initial client meetings to final production ensuring seamless collaboration between design, manufacturing, and engineering teams.

Your key responsibilities will include leading and managing the bespoke furniture design department, overseeing projects from initial client meetings to final delivery, and acting as the main liaison between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

You will ensure seamless coordination between design, production, manufacturing, and engineering teams, negotiate and manage project requirements, timelines, and budgets, provide technical guidance and problem-solving support throughout the design process, and ensure designs are optimized for manufacturing from screen to machine.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in furniture design
  • Proven experience in both design and management within bespoke furniture or related industries
  • Strong technical knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and design-to-production workflows
  • Proficiency in CAD software (mandatory)
  • Experience with SolidWorks (required) and Cabinet Vision (a plus)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for liaising with clients and subcontractors
  • Ability to lead a team and coordinate across multiple departments
