Job Overview

You will work closely with key business partners to develop and implement a comprehensive sourcing strategy that meets business needs and optimizes delivered costs.

A strong analytical and financial skillset is essential for this role, as you will be responsible for developing and refining procurement processes to minimize efforts and maximize benefits through compliance and specification controls.

You will also be accountable for compliance on Corporate Environmental Sustainability and Regulatory efforts, ensuring that suppliers comply with all required federal, national, regional, and local food safety regulations.


Responsibilities
This role involves several key responsibilities, including:
  1. Developing and implementing a comprehensive sourcing strategy that meets business needs and optimizes delivered costs
  2. Negotiating contracts with suppliers to secure the best possible terms
  3. Managing relationships with key business partners to ensure alignment and effective communication
  4. Developing and refining procurement processes to minimize efforts and maximize benefits through compliance and specification controls
  5. Ensuring compliance on Corporate Environmental Sustainability and Regulatory efforts, including supplier compliance with all required federal, national, regional, and local food safety regulations
  6. Driving performance and results through effective communication and influencing skills

You will also be responsible for leading and driving 'Make vs. Buy' analysis to optimize costs and efficiencies, and for acquiring and communicating market knowledge for the industries in which the vendors participate.


Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will have a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and at least 5-10 years of leadership experience in ingredients procurement and global category management. Strong communication and influencing skills are also essential, as you will be working with various stakeholders to drive performance and results.

You will be able to holistically view the procurement function and process as part of a larger process and company, and have the ability to make decisions quickly and move swiftly when opportunities arise.

Experience with SAP is preferred, but not essential. We are looking for a self-starter who can drive productivity through rapid continuous improvement and has a strong sense of adaptability and agility.


Ethical Sourcing
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all suppliers have received and agreed to comply with KDP's Ethical Sourcing Policy.
Risk Management
You will also be responsible for ensuring that supplier risk is proactively understood and continuity business plans are in place for any potential unpreventable interruption in supply.
