Job Description:

The Personal Support Worker (PSW) plays a critical role in our Long Term Care community at Creedan Valley. As a member of our team, you will provide resident supervision and assistance with activities of daily living, including eating, dressing, hygiene, and grooming as per individual plans of care.

You will also aid residents with respect to their communication and connections by encouraging them to wear individual sensory aids such as glasses, hearing aids, etc.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Completed Personal Support Worker program from an approved college or private institution
  • Internationally Educated Nurse degree in Nursing
  • Detail-oriented and proficient in procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatment and providing bedside care to residents
  • Tact and diplomacy in working with seniors, their families, and general visitors
