Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Transport Planning Specialist to support the delivery of sustainable transport projects across Ireland.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Managers in delivering a range of transport planning projects.
  • Manage sub-tasks within larger projects and take the lead on smaller projects, including budget management and resource allocation.
  • Ensure work produced is technically accurate and delivered in accordance with industry standards.
  • Support the preparation of technical documents, presentations, and reports to a high standard.
  • Identify new business opportunities and assist in preparing fee proposals and tender submissions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Broad range of transport planning skills, including experience in supporting the delivery of transport planning projects within the field of Sustainable and Active Travel.
  • Knowledge of policy context, guidance, and available funding streams.
  • Experience in developing Sustainable Transport and Decarbonisation policies, strategies, and plans, multi-modal network development, options appraisal, and feasibility studies for public transport, walking, cycling, and placemaking schemes.
  • Good report writing and presentation skills.
  • Experience of utilising qualitative and quantitative methods, including Excel and GIS, to support the development of Transport Plans and Strategies.
