Job Description
We are seeking a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist to join our team, with specialist clinical knowledge and skills in the area of Spinal Cord Injury rehabilitation. The successful candidate will promote and demonstrate best practice, facilitate the integration of current research theory into clinical practice, and participate in research as appropriate. They will also carry a clinical caseload within the Spinal Cord System of Care programme.
Key Requirements
- B.Sc./Masters Degree in Physiotherapy approved by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.
- Membership of, or eligibility for membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP) and CORU registered or pending same at the time of application.
- A minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience with a minimum of 3 years in the area of Spinal Cord Injury.
- Evidence of post-graduate clinical education e.g. Advanced BBTA (British Bobath Tutor's Association) course in the treatment of Spinal Cord Injury or equivalent.
- Evidence of significant experience in sub-sections of the specialty e.g. seating and posture management, orthotics, splinting.
- Experience of teaching and mentoring students, staff, and senior grade therapists.
- Experience in service development including clinical audit.
- Experience in clinical research.
