Job Opportunity: Maintenance Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in managing the upkeep and repair of equipment and facilities.

  • You will collaborate with external contractors for maintenance and repairs, and be responsible for implementing and maintaining a preventative maintenance system.
  • The successful candidate will report directly to the Engineering Manager and work on a salary-based contract with night shifts included.
Key Responsibilities
  • A relevant Electrical or Mechanical qualification, along with experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance would be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with various facility systems, including Boiler, Compressed Air, HVAC, Chilled Water, Water Treatment, and general electrical and mechanical services, is essential.
  • Ability to read electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic schematic diagrams is required.
  • Previous experience working on complex applications would be beneficial.
  • Experience of working in a GMP environment, within clean rooms and related equipment, is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with suppliers, customers, and external contractors.
Requirements
  • Responsible for maintaining plant and equipment in the facilities department, developing standard specifications/procedures, and monitoring existing plant to these standards.
  • This includes AHUs, chillers, compressors, CIP, and pumping systems.
  • Establish relationships with customers and suppliers to drive continuous improvement and business development.
  • Participate in internal meetings to prioritize tasks and assign responsibilities.
  • Solve customer-related issues in conjunction with the Quality department as needed.
  • Record daily and weekly activities in the current CMMS.
  • In collaboration with approved vendors, research new processes/systems for maintenance/equipment manufacture and implement new processes/systems developed under the Engineering Manager's direction.
  • Develop documentation in the facilities areas according to ISO9001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
  • Compliance with site Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations, training, and policies.
  • Adherence to company policies, procedures, and corporate guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties at the request of the direct Manager.
