Pre-Market Supplier Quality Engineer Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced supplier quality engineer to provide technical support for new product development, collaborating closely with R&D, suppliers, and post-market teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality engineering expertise throughout the NPD lifecycle on newly qualified parts and implement strategies for driving product quality and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate suppliers' internal functions to assess their overall performance and provide feedback on assessments of their operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineers to develop and deliver Product Acceptance Sampling Strategy, Approved Supplier List coordination, Supplier Owned Quality deployment, and Control Plans for new products.
  • Maintain and improve relationships with suppliers to ensure good manufacturing practices (GMP) and quality standards are met.
  • Develop and implement quality metrics and reports to monitor supplier performance and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 8 degree in Science, Engineering, or relevant discipline required.
  • 2+ years experience in Engineering and/or Quality in the medical device industry or related field preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders crucial.
  • Ability to travel to supplier sites as required.
