**The Role:**

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Homelessness Intervention Officer to join our team at The Good Shepherd Centre Kilkenny. As a Homelessness Intervention Officer, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of individuals and families experiencing homelessness and developing tailored support plans to help them achieve stability and independence.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. To work within the framework of the overall objectives and policies of the Kilkenny Voluntary Housing Association.
  2. To undertake assessments and support planning with clients, focusing on recovery and tenancy sustainment.
  3. To ensure that clients have access to recovery-focused training, education, and employment opportunities.
  4. To work collaboratively with other teams and services to provide comprehensive support to clients.
  5. To maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and progress.
  6. To identify and address any Health, Safety, and Welfare risks in the workplace.

Essential Criteria:

  1. A minimum of two years' experience working in a related field.
  2. A full clean driving license and access to a vehicle.
  3. A Level 7 qualification or above in social care.
  4. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
