Clinical Nurse Specialist Role

">Clinical Nurse Specialist (Acute Haematology Oncology)

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in haematology/oncology and be able to deliver high-quality patient care.

The CNS post holder will be responsible for delivering care aligned with the five core concepts outlined in the Framework for the Establishment of Clinical Nurse Specialist Posts, 4th edition.

Essential Requirements
  • Be a registered nurse/midwife on the active Register of Nurses and Midwives held by An Bord Altranais and Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann or be eligible for registration.
  • Have at least 1 year's full-time post-registration experience in the relevant division.
  • Have at least 1 year's full-time experience in the specialist area of Oncology Haematology.
  • Demonstrate ongoing professional development relevant to the specialist area.
  • Ability to practice safely and effectively within scope of practice.
Preferred Requirements
  • Demonstrate extensive nursing experience in haematology/oncology.
  • Undertake or agree to undertake the Nurse Prescribing of Medicinal Products Certificate within an agreed timeframe.
  • Apply for entry onto the Interim ONMSD CNS/CMS database.
