Job Summary

This position is for a seasoned professional to spearhead our design initiatives. With extensive experience in timber frame or modular construction design, the ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of AutoCAD software and be skilled in developing and overseeing design programs that align with client contractual agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement design strategies to ensure seamless collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
  • Promote technical excellence across all business functions, addressing internal and external queries with authority.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with the estimating team to provide expert advice on value engineering during the tender process.
  • Liaise closely with the Production Manager to guarantee manufacturing information meets production requirements and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead and mentor the in-house design team, setting clear goals and monitoring progress effectively.
  • Maintain robust connections with key customers across Ireland, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Guarantee all design activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Foster effective communication with client design teams and external consultants on active projects.
  • Collaborate closely with site teams to address project-related queries efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise in timber frame or modular construction design.
  • Advanced proficiency in using AutoCAD software for design and drafting tasks.
  • Strong leadership skills, including experience leading a design team and offering guidance and support to junior staff.
  • Familiarity with Digital Project Delivery principles is advantageous.
  • Able to create detailed drawings for new and existing projects.
  • Exceptional ability to interpret and work with architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and proactive approach.
