Seeking a skilled engineer to lead on a significant industrial project.

This high-profile assignment will involve the construction of two large warehouse units, valued at 22 million euros.

As the primary site engineer, you will work closely with the contracts manager and liaise directly with consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have experience working on Irish construction sites and possess expertise in setting out, structural steel, and RC frame work.

A strong understanding of design drawings, computer literacy, and excellent communication skills are also essential.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Reporting to the Site Manager or Senior Engineer
  • Liaising with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project
  • Carrying out and instructing in setting out and leveling the site
  • Complying with safety regulations on all equipment and health and safety regulations of the site
  • Responsibility for design coordination of all civil and structural elements with the design team and ensuring that the design is submitted in a timely fashion
  • Responsibility for Quality Control of all aspects of the construction project in relation to civil and structural elements
  • Responsibility for the completion of the project in line with the programme and budget

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience on Irish construction sites
  • Setting out experience
  • Engineering Degree/Diploma
  • Computer literate
  • Full understanding of design drawings
  • RC Frame/Structural Steel Experience
  • Self-motivating to deliver on safety, quality & programme
  • Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
