About the Role:

The National Library of Ireland is seeking a Head of Digital Heritage Management to lead their digital collections team. The successful candidate will oversee the development and maintenance of digital collections, including innovative pilots in collecting, preserving, and making available unique hybrid collections and born-digital material.

You will play a key role in advocating for legislative requirements enabling the NLI to deliver on its mission to collect, protect, and make available the recorded memory of Ireland.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of the National Library of Ireland.

Main Objectives:
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of digital collections
  • Lead innovative pilots in collecting and preserving digital material
  • Advocate for legislative requirements
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Proven experience in digital preservation and collection management
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
