About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team on prestigious projects including Industrial, Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, commercial etc. in Ireland and Mainland Europe.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site safety, QA, project schedule, costs, day-to-day operations, sub-contractor activities, and client snagging system.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Management of Site Safety in conjunction with the Safety Advisor, including setup, management, and closing out of the safety file as part of the Management team.
  2. Management of Site QA in conjunction with the Mechanical Package Manager, including setup, management, and close out of file.
  3. Familiarity with and management of Project Schedule in conjunction with other trades, Package Leads, consulting Engineer, and Client requirements.
  4. Assist with the management of all costs associated with your package.
  5. Management of all day-to-day on-site operations.
  6. Management of sub-contractor activities, including tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels.
  7. Ensure that there is a weekly minute meeting with the sub-contractor.
  8. Management of the clients snagging system, ensuring that you return weekly punch lists where applicable.
  9. Issue direct labour hours and sub-contractor hours to the time administrator for tracking centrally.
  10. Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Coordination Meetings, and Handover Meetings.
  11. Close out of all project items, including O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File, with the support of the Mechanical Package Manager.
Requirements:
  • An engineering qualification or relevant work experience.
  • Good computer skills in Word, Excel, etc.
  • Experience working on Data Centre or Pharmaceutical Projects.
  • Fluent English.
  • Flexible to travel.
  • A trade background.
  • Proven record of coordinating and managing large projects.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a supervision role.
