Commercial Accountant Role Overview

This is a key position within our organization that involves driving the corporate-owned stores churn framework.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for onboarding new stores and delivering projects in a timely manner.

They will contribute to the development of operational and governance frameworks tailored to each store entity structure.

Additionally, they will compile and finalize apportionment accounts in line with MRS reporting requirements.

Other responsibilities include partnering with stakeholders on operational and financial matters, ensuring successful commercial onboarding of stores.

The candidate will also understand balance sheet impacts of acquisitions and provide clarity and insight to the business on the Acquisitions/Divestments agenda.

Moreover, they will develop and deliver accurate projections of store performance with key assumptions clearly understood and outlined.

They will attend regular review meetings with key stakeholders and present business cases for approval to drive the strategic direction of the business.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years PQE
  • Commercial acumen essential
  • Advanced Excel skills essential
  • Highly numerical and analytical
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to influence
  • Ability to drive change in the work environment – be an innovator
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and multi-task
