This position involves providing expert mental health services to individuals with complex needs in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Leadership and development of a team of healthcare professionals to support the care of patients with severe and enduring mental illness.
- Collaboration with existing adult and older adult psychiatric services to deliver high-quality inpatient care for adults with complex mental health needs.
- Supporting clinical governance and assisting in the implementation of strategic and operational plans for the organization.
- Providing teaching, research, and academic support at a senior level, developed in collaboration with educational institutions such as Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin.
- Delivering core contracted hours and participating in on-call rotations as part of a team.
Requirements:
- Full registration in the Specialist Register (Psychiatrist) of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland or eligibility for such registration.
- At least seven years of post-graduate experience.
- Registration as a general adult psychiatrist with a subspecialized interest in either Psychiatry of Later Life or Neuropsychiatry is desirable.
- Demonstrate ability to lead change and develop clinical services.
- An energetic individual with solid clinical experience working within a diverse team of clinicians and strong knowledge of clinical governance principles.
Additional Information:
The role involves a 37-hour workweek with an on-call commitment to be delivered to the service.
