Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and motivated individual to join our eDiscovery team as a Junior Legal Analyst. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in eDiscovery projects and Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR), providing quality assurance and contributing to the successful delivery of projects.

In this role, you will support the Lead Legal Analyst and Senior Project Managers within the eDiscovery Function in assisting with various aspects of the review process while learning best practices in eDiscovery review and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Quality Control on Discovery and Data Subject Access Request projects by reviewing documents tagged and redacted by first level reviewers.
  • Prepare reports of Quality Control outcomes and work with Lead Legal Analyst and Project Managers to implement control measures to prevent recurrence of identified issues.
  • Address consultant queries and provide clarifications on review guidance, escalating complex issues to Lead Legal Analyst as needed.
  • Complete first level review for complex or urgent client requests.
  • Maintain accurate documentation by maintaining query logs, taking meeting minutes, updating decision logs and assisting with the preparation of briefing documents.
  • Briefing Project Managers and Lead Legal Analyst on review issues, key information ahead of client meetings.
  • Carry out the necessary searches and batching to support Quality Control efforts.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Some exposure to legal environment or data heavy projects. Past experience with eDiscovery projects or similar desirable.
  • Skills:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

The following skills would be beneficial but not essential:

  • Basic knowledge of the litigation life cycle, discovery practices, Irish privilege or data protection laws; or
  • Experience on Reveal, Relativity or other eDiscovery review platforms.
