Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Chartered Clinical/Educational Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team, providing comprehensive psychological assessments and evidence-based interventions for children and adolescents with complex needs.
The successful candidate will have expertise in psychological assessments, treatment planning, and consultation to parents and stakeholders, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including cognitive, emotional, social, and behavioural evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and educational psychologists to provide holistic care for clients.
- Provide consultation and support to parents, caregivers, and relevant stakeholders to promote effective strategies for supporting children with developmental needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other records in accordance with professional and ethical standards.
Requirements:
- A doctoral degree in educational psychology, clinical psychology, or counselling psychology.
- Registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) as a psychologist.
- Experience in ADOS training and autism diagnostic assessments is desirable.
- Minimum two years of post-qualification experience in clinical practice, preferably working with children and adolescents.
- Strong expertise in psychological assessments, evidence-based recommendations, and treatment planning.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- A commitment to professional development and continuing education in clinical/educational psychology and child development.
